Annie Gray began her interior design career in 2017 after graduating from North Carolina State University with a bachelor's degree in Art and Design. After years of industry experience at a high-end residential custom building firm, as well as a full-service interior design studio, Annie Gray Interiors was founded in 2022.
Annie Gray’s background in custom building has given her the invaluable understanding of project management and how to effectively collaborate with builders, architects, and subcontractors in a way that honors the clients’ vision, budget, and timeline. Her design approach merges careful guidance with collaboration, lightheartedness with meticulous attention to detail, and relaxed coastal living with a refined sense of style.
Although Annie Gray Interiors is based in Wilmington, Annie Gray welcomes the opportunity to serve clients throughout the coastal Carolinas. In addition to creating beautiful spaces, Annie Gray enjoys hosting friends and family, trying new restaurants and recipes, and weekend road trips with her husband, Richard, and two yellow labs, Sandy and Sunny.
Ellis Pitts
Junior Designer
Ellis joined Annie Gray Interiors as a Studio Intern in the Spring of 2024. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Virginia Tech, along with a minor in Real Estate, Ellis transitioned to her current role as a Junior Designer. Her academic background from a CIDA accredited program, paired with hands-on experience during the internship, provided a well-rounded foundation in both the technical and creative sides of interior design.
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Ellis developed a passion for architecture and interiors early on. She is inspired by her hometown’s timeless charm and historic character, and brings that same appreciation for intentional design, and a warm, collaborative spirit, to every project she touches at Annie Gray Interiors.
In her free time, Ellis enjoys being on the water, exploring Wilmington’s hidden gems, baking sourdough, and spending quality time with friends and family.
